DECEASED Feb.29 2008 One of the worst heart aches in the horse business, is when they die before their time. There is never a good day to die, but 2 months before foaling, a foal I was looking forward too.......Out of a mare that is not replaceable.
Jay More Music is a double bred Snipper Music. She is a grullo roan. And what a sweetheart she is. She had a beautiful blue roan stud colt for us last year. Hopefully we'll get another one that is just as pretty.
Her sire is Snipper Music. He was our favorite horse of all time. He won Snaffle Bit Futuritys, he always won the reining, and cutting, team penning, and as a ranch horse he did everything from bringing in the wayward bull, to holding a cow while we pulled a calf.
Jay More Music's Dam was Sooty Freckles. Sooty is a gorgeous black mare with a beautiful head, and swan neck. She looked so much like Snipper Music, it was amazing. Sooty's dam was Jay More Freckles who was imported here from Australia for her cutting horse pedigree. Her sire Freckles Jay Jay was a son of Jewel's Leo Bars (25 cutting points, 3 halter pts and a ROM in cutting) by Sugar Bars (AAA).
Freckles Jay Jay's dam Rey's Jay Pride was sired by AQHA Champion, Rey Jay with 257 AQHA Pts in Cutting. Rey Jay was a AQHA Superior cutting performance horse, and 1966 NCHA Finals Non-Pro winner. Roar More was a AAA Stakes Winner with a racing register of merit.
