SOLD to Dixie Lynn. Congratulations!!!Smoky Shena Lynx, Shena's Little Blue Roan. This is a fantastic colt with a lot of potential. He's the first and only blue roan that Koda Shena Lynx ever had. His sire Celebrity Concerto gave him the color and credentials to be a great stallion or a SUPER Gelding. He was gelded on May 14 2009.
I'm so excited about the combination of these two wonderfully bred horses.
Sire of foal: Celebrity Concerto sired by Snipper Music (Our favorite horse of all time, including 60 some years of riding horses)
DAM of sire: Sierra CelebrityGold sired by Sierra G Son out of Skipette Holly a granddaughter of Hollywood Gold. See Skipette Holly at 28 years old, under broodmares. She's the foundation mare that really got us started raising foundation horses, and gave us great love and appreciation for Hollywood Gold and his get. I also treasured Koda Shena Lynx. She had a cute little head, with a dish face and wonderful conformation. She was a sweet mare, disposition wise, a person couldn't ask for any better. She died July 8th, 2008 and is sorely missed. Her first foal for us was a buckskin stallion, and he is standing at stallion in Rockland, ID for owner's Lynn and Karen Hunter, friends of ours.
Shena's breeding was the best! The day we were lucky enough to purchase her at a sale in Bozeman, lots of people actually called us, and asked if we bought that good mare with that fantastic pedigree! Well, yes we did! And we were tickled to have her. A mare this good should live forever!
Koda Shena Lynx was a daughter of Doc Shena Lynx by Doc's Lynx, the 1973 NCHA Cutting Derby Champion.
Great Grandsire: Hobby Horse was a AAA-AQHA Champion, and 1964 AQHA High Point Working Cowhorse Stallion.
Peppy San is an AQHA Champion, Superior Cutting Horse and 1967 AQHA High Point Cutting Stallion and NCHA 1967 World Champion Cutting Horse. In 1962 he was NCHA Cutting Futurity 2nd place winner, and he's in the NCHA Hall of FAME!
