SOLD:King Cody Cassidy 2010 grullo roan stallion. Apl 30/2011 Sold to Mike and Lisa from British Columbia. He looks very pretty, has the cutest little head, long legs, & lots of strips. He's going to be a good looking feller.
Wow!!It seemed like we were already brimming with a pasture full of grullo 2010 foals. And this morning (May 25 2010) there are two more!
Sire: NU Hollywood King sires lots of grullos. And crossing him on the Snipper Music roan daughters, we get our share of grullo roans, also. This is a good cross. King is a foundation bred horse, with some cutting horses (Hollywood Bill, a Superior cutting horse; NU Bar, NCHA Top Ten cutting champion finisher 2 years)in the background. Kings foals are cowy, with great dispositions. He has King P234 and Hollywood Gold right on his papers! It's nearly impossible in this day and age, to get a horse with this kind of breeding. Right back to 1932 in 4 generations, the beginning of Quarter Horses and AQHA.
Dam: Snips Cassidy is sired by Snipper Music. Snipper Music tops our list as our favorite horse of all time. He was fun to ride, athletic, he could rein, cutt cows, team pen and sort, with the best of them. A whole field of Snipper foals were a pleasure to behold. They all wanted to be petted, they were good headed, intelligent, and willing and friendly, easy to train for what you want to do. They would leave their Moms to come and see you! And they were a rainbow of colors. Snipper Music invented unusual colors, and that unbeatable disposition!
Looking at the pedigree, on the mare's side, I can sure see why her foals are so nice.
Great, Great Grandsire, Hazard County was a World Champion Halter weanling. His sire was Tuffernhel, an AQHA Champion, with a AA. Hazard of the County's Dam was Watch Jodie, by AQHA Champion, Watch Joe Jack; by AQHA Champion, Two Eyed Jack. There are two crosses to Two Eyed Jack. He sired the most offspring, (119) of any stallion, that became AQHA Champions.
Golden HiJinx's sire was Show Bar Bob by AQHA Champion, Blondy's Dude by Small Town Dude. Even though they are back a ways in the pedigree, that many good ones, gathered together, come forth with class, and make really good horses.
King Cody Cassidy should follow in the hoof prints of those who came before, and become a great horse!
