2010 Covergirl Centerfold a Bay Roan filly is big, gorgeous, and elegant. Snips Silver Legacy is her sire. He gave her his roan gene. Covergirl and Silver are both big horses, and I expect this filly to follow her parents.
Sierras Covergirl was sired by Sierra G Son, a huge palomino stallion about 15-3. He had a deep golden metallic shine. His offspring usually got that shine, so it must be inheritable! We acquired him from Ernest and Bernetta Patterson, around February of 1984. They had decided to raise Paints as it was the popular trend at the time, so they offered Sierra G Son to us. Rockey's stallion, Paul's Zebra had just died, and we were stallion- less! Buying Sierra G Son and meeting the Patterson's really changed our lives! After watching Rockey start 2 year olds, Bernetta invited us into the sale. We foaled out our first "Sonny"(as he was called)foals in 1985. We had a couple of grand daughters of Hollywood Gold, and they made beautiful babies with Sonny. They danced around our pasture like pretty ballerinas. We kept 9 fillies from Sonny. Sierras Covergirl is the last one producing. The Snipper Music cross on a Sierra G Son daughter was always a great cross. Snips Silver Legacy is a son of Snipper Music.
