Sugar Cody Amija is a beautiful 3 year old mare, with fantastic Foundation bloodlines. She's black all winter, and has faded brown in the summer sun. Rockey has started her, and she's doing really well under saddle.
Rockey says "If you are looking for a horse that is stout enough and has the energy to carry you all day Amija might be the horse for you. She walks out real well and is smooth at the trot and the lope. I have ponied quite a few other horses with her, and she handles it very well."
She's the last daughter out of Sugar Pine Cody, which was my favorite mare, at the Pat Ranch, for years. She has a nice little head, and a big hip. I love the bloodlines, and hate to part with her. Just look at the pedigree! AQHA Champions include: Sierra Mount, Great Pine, Poco Pine, Poco Bueno, Town Crier, Joe Cody, and Whale's Mark. Honor Roll Halter Stallion, Bill Cody is the sire of Joe Cody, a well know cutting and reining horse, that was on the back cover of the Quarter Horse Journal for years in the '50's. Bill Cody's sire is Wimpy P-1, the very first registered Quarter horse!! How exciting is that!! Sugar Cody Amija is a performance prospect, and a great mare to put into the brood mare band, when you're done riding her. Breed her to a Blue Roan, a Grullo, or a Dun stallion and I could almost guarantee that you'll get color.
