SOLD. Kings Satin Ribbon a beautiful black 2006 2 yr old filly. She has a very pretty head & well muscled hip. She's built just the way we like them. She also has a fantastic gentle, sweet disposition.
Her sire is Nu Hollywood King, a Foundation grullo stallion, homozygous for the black gene(EE)with the bloodlines of King P234, Hollywood Gold, Nu Bar and Leo.
This filly is a combination of our favorite crosses. We liked to breed Snipper Music to the daughters of Sierra G Son. Snipper was so quick, athletic, & cowy. Sierra G Son had size, good muscle, big bone and feet. Snipper would refine the foals out of the "Sonny" daughters, Sonny would give them good size. They were smooth to ride, cowy, and some of the best horses that we ever raised. Unfortunately, these stallions got old and died. But we have kept the best of their offspring, and the Cross of these bloodlines, still works, even with their sons and daughters. Skipette Holly is also in this pedigree. "Holly" is the Foundation mare of our breeding program. She is a granddaughter of Hollywood Gold. She will be 31 years old in 2008, she still looks good and is running with the broodmare band.
Kings Satin Ribbon takes to training like a duck does to water. She is going well under saddle. Most people would be able to ride her at this time. All of Blue Ribbons foals have been sweethearts.
Kings Satin Ribbon is double bred Hollywood Gold and has all of our favorite horses in her pedigree. She is a good Foundation bred mare, and she's black to boot. She would be a perfect candidate to raise grullos and blue roans, when you are done riding her.
