Deceased March 2010 Died of old age. Born in 1977, she had lived a good, long life. Skipette Holly is the Foundation mare of our outfit. She is a granddaughter of Hollywood Gold. We treasured this mare. She is the best producing mare we ever owned. We have a lot of nice mares. But she held together, never needed extra care, has always lived out back with the broodmares, and never looked old until she turned 30! She had a foal every year, until she turned 26. She gave us 22 foals. I never bred her back, after Fantasia was born. Skipette Holly had more than earned her retirement.
Skipette Holly is the reason we love the Hollywood Gold bloodlines so much. Her colts have been outstanding. We kept 4 of her daughters, (we should have kept them all, had we known what we had), three of her sons were kept for stallions, after we sold them for stallion prospects.
Hollywood Fantasia was her last foal, a grulla filly. We are pleased to have her.
